A rare authentic Islamic handcrafted enameled copper container pot planter, Damascus or Aleppo, Syria, Ca 1820.
The Islamic enamel (mina) on copper container with Arabic Kufic using a Cuerda Seca style of enameling with floral motif.
Very good condition, some enamel losses, repairs and dents but considering the age of the pot and the fact that this was made to be used as a planter it has survived remarkably well.
